At times, my whole life has felt like a panic attack. It is such an unpleasant experience. However, I’ve discovered ways to battle this overwhelming feeling:

1.) Go for a walk. Walk at a fast pace if needed. Being in sunlight and getting vitamin D is good.

2.) Focus on your breathing. In through your nose and out through your mouth.

3.) Redirect to the current moment. Assess if you’re truly in danger—practice mindfulness.

4.) Exercise intensely. Go for a jog or do sprints. I’ve previously mentioned that I’m a walker and a spin biker. I feel much better mentally after a spin class. Find what you enjoy and be consistent.

5.) Seek counseling if needed.

I’m not a big proponent of medication, but I think sometimes in the short term it’s okay to do. There are medications out there that may be helpful. Talk to your primary doctor if it’s a daily thing to deal with panic attacks.

Make good decisions (good sleep, healthy nutrition, and intense exercise). Have a great week. We got this.
